Women Doctors
- It seems that if you are encouraging your daughter to become a doctor, you’re condemning her to a lifetime of unhappiness, depression, and anxiety.
- This is an unfortunate reality for many female doctors who often suffer in silence, experiencing negative effects on their mental health, career growth, and patient care due to the male-dominated nature of the healthcare profession. Women doctors face unique challenges such as gender bias, harassment, and discrimination that can create an unwelcoming and unsupportive work environment.
- It’s imperative to recognize the difficulties faced by women doctors and strive to establish a more equitable and supportive environment for all healthcare professionals, and enable women doctors to thrive and deliver optimal patient care. Providing resources such as counseling, mentoring, leadership program, and advocacy groups can help women doctors navigate and cope with the obstacles they face.
- This is the objective of #GLOW. We are working to create a special program for our next global meeting in Puerto Rico in 2024.
